DIGGING IN
ONE TOPIC IN DETAIL EACH MONTH
Starting a Career In Holistic Management
After our webinar last month interviewing various Accredited Professionals from throughout the Savory Global Network, we’ve had an influx of questions from folks interested in starting a career in Holistic Management.

First things first, if you haven’t yet watched the webinar, we highly recommend you do so. From a civil engineer using Holistic Management for flood mitigation projects to an educator who works with farming communities in Zimbabwe, we cover a range of backgrounds and business models.

There are multiple paths for accreditation. You could become an educator, gaining access to Savory’s curriculum and training materials while working through your local Savory Hub for business development opportunities. Or you could become an EOV Verifier or an EOV Monitor, hands-on in the field working with producers to provide critical insights on ecological health. There are also two different educator paths, one for commercial farming and ranching and one geared towards smallholder farming communities. For the more experienced folks, there are higher levels of accreditation (i.e. Master Field Professional and Master Verifier) that offer unique opportunities to be tapped for large-scale projects led by Savory.

No matter what route you take, the Savory team is here to help you on your accreditation journey, both pre-and post-accreditation (and with new programs in the works).

If you’re interested in accreditation, we recommend attending one of our monthly meet-ups, hosted by Savory’s Global Network Coordinator, Abbey Kingdon Smith. In these monthly Zoom calls, you’ll learn more about accreditation offerings, be able to ask questions, and get guidance on your particular situation. To accommodate different timezones, we offer these meet-ups at different times each month, so check the meetup page to find a time that is convenient for you: https://savory.global/meet-up
