Hi Friend,

With Climate Strikes happening across the world and the UN's Climate Action Summit happening in New York, there's significant interest in "shovel-ready" solutions.

Well, we happen to know of a certain Global Network that's a few steps ahead of "shovel-ready", and its momentum just keeps growing. Read on to see the latest developments across the Savory Global Network.

A MONTHLY TOPIC IN GREATER DETAIL
The Fashion Industry Goes Regenerative
As you saw above, this week we announced EILEEN FISHER as the newest partner in our Land to Market program. As long-time leaders in the fashion industry, EILEEN FISHER has stepped up to bring regenerative agriculture into supply chains, raising the bar for the industry on the whole.

In the world of grassland regeneration, food is often (and obviously) top-of-mind. Now, thanks to players like EILEEN FISHER, we are inspired to see interest from new industries where livestock play a critical role but ecological outcomes have not always been center stage.

With wool, leather, and cashmere all originating from grasslands, the fashion industry stands to make huge strides by bringing environmentally-conscious sourcing to their supply chains.

While food labels display certifications like organic, local, non-GMO, and grass-fed, you won’t necessarily be seeing the Ecological Outcome Verification seal on fashion hangtags. Rather, fashion brands are joining Land to Market because they realize the value verified ecological outcomes bring for reducing environmental footprint, meeting corporate social responsibility goals, and increasing transparency in deep and complicated supply chains.

We’re so proud of this week’s EILEEN FISHER announcement and the signal it sends to the fashion industry.

And don’t worry. More industries are in the works. This is just the beginning!
