This month’s Ruminations is all about visibility. We’ve got a behind-the-scenes look at the latest Savory Hub Bootcamp, a new
film project on the case for better meat, a sneak peek at a new project grazing on solar fields, a spotlight on the often overlooked role of Regenerating Members in our Network, a chance to see Allan Savory in Spain, and so much more.
We hope you like the looks of where this movement is headed...

DIGGING IN
A MONTHLY TOPIC IN GREATER DETAIL
Growing Savory's Impact via Membership
You’re likely familiar with the Savory Global Network of Hubs that provide Holistic Management training and support to producers, and you likely know of the Accredited Professionals (AP’s) who are the field educators operating out of our 42 (and counting) Savory Hubs, but this month we’d like to dig deeper and highlight the critical role played by our Regenerating Members in supporting this movement.
Today marks the end of our first membership drive, and we are elated to announce that we have surpassed our new member goal. Why is this such great news? Savory Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so our operations largely depend on outside support. Our Regenerating Members provide dependable monthly gifts that, although individually quite small, in total create a support mechanism that is quite powerful.
Regenerative ecosystems are distributed, diverse, and interconnected. Rather than going the traditional nonprofit route where a handful of large donors provide the bulk of funding, we’re building a regenerative ecosystem of small donors distributed across the globe and diverse in their reasons to give. Whether it be food, climate, water, community, or just wanting a better planet to leave to their children, Regenerating Members’ monthly support ultimately builds operational resiliency for Savory and allows us to reach more lands and more minds with Holistic Management.
So we’ve touched on distributed and diverse, but what about interconnected? Hubs, AP’s, and Regenerating Members all have access to our Digital Community Platform, a private online space that allows for sharing, learning, and connecting with others in the Global Network. Members are also invited to the annual Network Gathering, the next of which is early 2020 in NSW, Australia.
So, here’s to you, our Regenerating Members. Your role in the Network might not be that visible to the outside world, but we are grateful for you each and every
day. Without you, this work would not be possible.
